Walk or Bike the Big Bear Lakeside Trail

A beautiful place for a walk or leisurely bike ride. The Alpine Pedal Path is about 3 miles long. Parking is availalbe in the Boat Launch Parking area (seasonal) or along Stanfield Cutoff road or in the Woodland Trail parking lot across from the boat launch. The trail winds its away along the lake and through the forest and over running streams. The trail also connects to the Cougar Crest Trail which takes you under the highway and if you stay on the paved path it will take you over a bridge and all the way to the Discovery Center (Free Nature Center) which has water and bathrooms when open. 
This trail dead ends at both sides so you can turn around whenever you want. Bathrooms and parking also available at Cougar Crest Trailhead and Juniper Point parking area and the boat launch area.
