Snow Summit has a Ski Team where kids can get coaching on skiing and ski racing and participate in ski races.
We highly recommend Snow Summit for family ski days.
Bear Mountain is the other ski resort in Big Bear Lake, California. Both resorts are owned by Big Bear Mountain Resorts.
BBMR also recently acquired Snow Valley resort in Running Springs, CA which is on the way to Big Bear.
If you are staying at the hostel, it is only a 20 minute drive to Snow Valley.
You can buy a season pass which is good at all three resorts!
