Bear Mountain is the other ski resort in Big Bear Lake, California. "Bear" has the best freestyle park features.

The snow season is late November to mid April.
BBMR also recently acquired Snow Valley resort in Running Springs, CA which is on the way to Big Bear.
If you are staying at the hostel, it is only a 20 minute drive to Snow Valley.
Like most resorts, day ski passes are EXPENSIVE.
But you can buy a season pass which is good at all three resorts!
You can also buy an IKON pass which is good at Mammoth Mountain, BBMR and more!

WHERE TO STAY
Big Bear Hostel has the most ideal location in Big Bear Lake. You can walk across the street to all the village shops and restaurants.
The lake is just across the street as well.
We have a full kitchen and you can cook your own meals if you don't want to enjoy the 25 restaurants within 5 minutes walk.
Motel 666 is 5 miles away at the far end of town.
