Big Bear PCT Food Challenges

I don't know if these challenges are official yet. But the Grizzly Manor Cafe has a pancake eating challenge that I don't think has been accomplished yet. Eat 6 plate sized pancakes in an hour. I think its free if you can do it. A hiker in 2012 stuffed over 5.5 cakes into his pie hole before he ran out of time.

The Mexican Restaurant next to the Big Bear Hostel 'Nuevo Vallarta' has a Burrito Grande Challenge (pictured). Rumor has it that if you can eat the whole thing your beer or drink is free. Inquire with them for details. This German Thru hiker became known as "Burrito Grande" after he polished this monster off in 16 minutes! (May 6, 2013) He went slack packing the next day and I don't think I would want to be following in his footsteps!
You can also do a Pub Crawl to all the bars in Big Bear from our location!
