BIG BEAR BEERS / PUBS / NIGHTLIFE / ENTERTAINMENT
The Big Bear Hostel is located within walking distance
of just about every bar in Big Bear Lake!
After a hard day on the slopes the typical visitor comes back to the hostel, freshens up, then can begin a night of drunken revelry just by walking out our back door!
Here is a recommended Pub Crawl for a night to remember in Big Bear.

After a hard day on the slopes the typical visitor comes back to the hostel, freshens up, then can begin a night of drunken revelry just by walking out our back door!
Here is a recommended Pub Crawl for a night to remember in Big Bear.
- First stop is Sandy's sports bar right next to the hostel. Then have a full menu and full bar and tons of TV screens to watch all the action.
- Second stop. If you walk out the front door of Sandy's and head straight for the lake you will find yourself at B's Backyard BBQ! This lakeside restaurant and bar sits feet from the lake and in Summer you can sit outside next to the beach volleyball court. If the lakeside beach scene is all washed up... head west toward the village on Big Bear Blvd.
- Third Stop: Walk a block or two until you see the neon sign upstairs for Nottinghams Bar and Grill. This Chill upscale bar often has live entertainment on the weekends. Darts, Shuffleboard, full menu and bar, and free popcorn.
- Fourth stop, just around the corner on Village Dr. is El Jacalito Restaurant and bar. With over 100 Tequilas behind the bar, this is THE place for a Margarita Grande.
- Fifth stop: Keep walking up the street and if its Happy Hour, Blondie's Bar and Grill has $1 beers.
- Sixth Stop: Just across the street is North Pole Fudge Co. and Saucy Mama's Pizza and Beer in the back.
- Seventh Stop: Are we crawling yet? Walk up to village drive - pay homage on the way to The Pub (closed) - and turn right and go until you walk into Chad's Place. Way cool since outlaw days of 1915. Pool tables, foosball, dance floor and live music weekends. This is the biggest bar in Big Bear.
- Eighth Stop. Walk out the back of Chad's and look left for some neon. Head into the light and this is where you will probably end your night singing away the hours on free never-ending karaoke sessions at Murray's.
